An Aggie’s 14 Day Build
5.0 Magazine: The 1,300hp Terminator
For those of you that don’t know, I spent a lot of time shooting for various automotive magazines, mainly for Motortrend and the magazines that were published by them. I earned a number of covers and multi-page features. There were times that I shot the photos and wrote the article. This feature in 8 Lug Magazine was one of those instances.
5.0 Magazine Cover: Tyler’s 200+ MPH Mustang
This Mustang was the most versitile vehicle I’ve shot to date. Most cars and trucks have a specific purpose for the owner. Tyler Garcia’s ’90 Mustang was quite the opposite. If he wants to run the standing mile, he changes the transmission and rear end. If he wants to go drag racing he does the same. For this shoot, the focus (no pun intended) was on the car running standing miles. My son and I attended TX2K24 and saw Tyler stand it on it’s rear end in a high stakes drag race. The car still has it.
8 Lug Magazine: Hard work pays off
When I met Casey King, he was just a college kid working his way through Texas Tech and building this truck. This kid mowed, washed cars and did whatever it took to make his dream come true. His hard work landed him a cover on 8 Lug Magazine. I hope he’s well.
Casey’s F250
Landshark and PnyDrpr
Truckin’ Magazine: Big, bagged, usable.
Most will say a slammed and bagged truck is useless. I say nay. The proof is in the puddin’ with this slammed Dodge hauling another bagged one ton dually with ease. Case in point…the Landshark hauling the PnyDrpr.
8 Lug Magazine: Stock to Rockin’ in 14 Days
This is another build from Maximum Altitude in San Antonio, TX that was featured in 8 Lug Magazine. I had the pleasure of shooting and writing the feature on this truck. It may sound dramatic, but the team at Maximum Altitude finished the truck 2 hours before the shoot. I made a number of contacts from this shoot. The images of the Fuel Wheels were used by Fuel Wheels, Monster Hooks and Toyo Tires each used images from this shoot for the respective marketing materials.
Work Truck Review: David Jensen’s Welding Rig
8 Lug Magazine spun off a sister-publication for functional, but custom work trucks called Work Truck Review. This feature on David Jensen’s welding rig was shot in less than an hour. Part of any feature in Work Truck Review was showing the truck in action hence the photo you see to the right.
